Atari Flashback wasn’t exactly the retro gamer’s dream machine it was supposed to be. Sad, I know, but true. Atari Flashback 2.0, on the other hand, is thankfully a totally different console and a huge improvement over the original v.1.0, finally offering a proper Atari 2600 gaming experience. Not only are the glitches of the first Flashback absent, the games selection improved and the joysticks functional, but now you can also plug your original cartridges into the console. Yes, even the dreaded E.T one. That is, you can plug your original cartridges, provided you are reasonably tech-savvy and not particularly afraid to tamper with hardware. You see, dear retro-heads, all you have to do is hack Atari Flashback 2.0 by following the relatively simple technique showcased here.
