10 brilliant freeware platformers

Ever since Mario, Sonic and Rayman conquered the alluring 3rd dimension, the more traditional 2d platformers were sadly confined to the tiny screens of handhelds. Well, not anymore! The PC is now the welcoming home of a new -more dangerous- kind of platformer: the freeware one.
