If you wanted a boxed copy of Zone of the Enders HD Collection it’s just 3,980 yen ($50). A digital release is even less – just 3,480 yen ($44) for both remastered games.
That’s really cheap! Well, not if you look at the dollar amounts, but in comparison to other Japanese releases. Metal Gear Solid HD Collection was 5,480 yen ($70) when it launched and the Japanese version *didn’t* include Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker. For comparison’s sake, Demon’s Souls budget re-release with a giant yellow stripe on the cover was 3,800 yen ($48).
If you want to splurge there’s a premium edition with the game (for either PS3 or Xbox 360), a Chronicle Book that covers the history of Zone of the Enders, ReBoot book, and a ReBoot soundtrack CD for 8,980 yen ($118).
Konami will also release a 9,980 yen ($127) Konamistyle limited edition which includes everything above plus Zone of the Enders Z.O.E. 2167 Idolo on Blu-Ray.
Konami has Zone of the Enders HD Collection slated for release on October 25 in Japan.
