Ziocropos Weaknesses in Proof of Power in Metaphor: ReFantazio

When you’re in Altabury Heights after the incident at the Montario Opera House, you can return to the area outside the building to meet with an Obsessive Soldier who needs the Ziocropos Giant slain. Why? To show you’re capable of the challenges ahead. Here’s how to tackle “Proof of Power” in Metaphor: ReFantazio at the Tower of Insolence.

How to beat Ziocropos via its weaknesses in Metaphor: ReFantazio

You can first start to find the “Proof of Power” sidequest in Altabury in Metaphor: ReFantazio once you are free to walk around the area and aren’t tied to dealing with the events at the opera house. An Obsessive Soldier will be shown on the map and be in the recessed alcove near the stairs outside the event hall. The person will test your strength by asking you to head to the Tower of Insolence nearby to defeat the Ziocropos. Your goal? To get its Bramblethorn Baton. You’ll get a boost to your Courage stat and at least 55,000 reeve for your trouble. (Though if you’ve been boosting your Bonds, that reward could be up to 82,500 reeve.)

Like all of the Tower locations in Metaphor: ReFantazio, this is a straightforward run. You just need to climb the spire and face the boss at the top. Having people with magic spells comes in pretty handy. Also, note that the foes around here will be around the 55-60 level range, with the Ziocropos itself being at level 58.

Once you reach the Ziocropos in Metaphor: ReFantazio, it honestly isn’t too difficult to tackle if you have the right party composition due to its weaknesses. The two things that will damage it are Pierce attacks from a Knight or Gunner Archetype-line unit or wind-based spells like Cyc or Cyclone. Don’t use electric attacks from the Kande line, as it will absorb those and restore its health. In addition to the other rewards from the Obsessive Soldier, you also get a Talisman of the Wargod for defeating it. You could use that to forge the Minotaur Vessel or Obsidian Bone Vessel for Summoner and Devil Summoner Archetype abilities.

Metaphor: ReFantazio is available for the PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC. There is also a demo available.
