The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword is the fast-selling Zelda game ever, according to a USA Today report. Speaking with the publication, Nintendo of America president, Reggie Fils-Aime says Skyward Sword, released for the Wii on November 20th, has sold 535,000 copies in the U.S. to date.

Meanwhile, Super Mario 3D Land on the Nintendo 3DS is seeing similar success. That game, released on November 11th, has sold 500,000 copies to date, making it the fastest-selling portable Mario game in the series’ history.

3D Land also had a significant impact on Nintendo 3DS sales upon its release. Nintendo of America say that 3DS sales have increased by 325% as of last week, compared to the week before Super Mario 3D Land’s release.

Fils-Aime also says he believes Fortune Street (known as Itadaki Street in Japan) will do “quite well” during the holidays. Fortune Street is a Monopoly-style board game for the Wii, featuring Mario and Dragon Quest characters. It’s slated for release on December 5th.
