Zanki Zero’s main characters are clones that you’ll see go through different stages in life. The game’s latest trailer shows us what they look like as kids, young adults, and elders.
In Zanki Zero they say that there’s no way to beat it within an entire lifecycle for these characters, so you’ll actually be seeing them go from kids to old folks numerous times. However, the characters can die in a variety of ways including food allergies or even failing to use the toilet.
You might think that it sounds troublesome having to start over from zero, but there are actually a few benefits as we previously reported. When a character dies there’s a chance they can come back even stronger than before. For example, if one gets killed from a certain animal, they’ll take less damage from that animal in their next life.
However, keep in mind there’s no guarantee that your characters will actually come back if they die. There’s actually a way they can die for good and no longer be cloned back to life, and they say that it’ll be difficult at times to keep everyone alive.
We don’t know too much about the game’s battle system, but we can get a peek of its dungeon crawler action towards the end. More details on battles will be revealed on a later date.
Zanki Zero: Last Beginning will release in Japan in Summer 2018 for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita. The game will release in the West for PS4 and PC. In case you missed it, Spike Chunsoft recently revealed that Danganronpa series’ robotic bear mascot Monokuma will also appear in the game.
