The FFVII Remake official Twitter account shared some details on the Moogle cape that Yuffie sports during the early parts of Episode Intermission. This marks her first appearance in the FFVII Remake continuity. Yuffie’s cape is moved by real time processing in-game. The process to model it included recreating the item in real life, and scanning it to produce the 3D model used in game.
ユフィが纏っているマントは、リアルタイム処理で動かされているんですよ!実際に製作したものをスキャンして3Dモデル化しており、形状やシワの入り方を何度も手作業で調整しています。🫳👚

By having the cape as a real item, the artists in charge of scanning and modeling it could manually adjust the shape and the wrinkles as many times as needed to get the wanted results. The artists managed to give the Moogle hood a particular roughed up and used feel, while maintaining the cuteness of the design.

A different snippet of information shared confirmed that the setting for the original Final Fantasy VII was originally going to be New York. This concept was most likely reused in Parasite Eve, which launched shortly after Final Fantasy VII.
Final Fantasy VII Remake is available for the PS4, PS5, and PC. The PS5 and PC versions of the game are the FFVII Remake Intergrade versions, which include an extra episode starring Yuffie as its main character.
