Yu-Gi-Oh Master Duel will feature earnable in-game currency that will let players craft missing cards for their deck. There will be a variety of ways for players to earn these “Craft Points,” including dueling other players, completing missions, and dismantling unwanted cards. Konami also outlined the game’s various deckbuilding mechanics in a new video featuring YouTuber TGS Anime.
Through Yu-Gi-Oh Master Duel, players will have access to over 10,000 cards. Players can build up to 20 decks in the game’s deckbuilding mode, with a host of customization options to choose from. These options can range from simple cosmetics like the card case and protector, to more intricate details like the deck’s three main cards and even the dueling field.
When building your deck, you have the option to only show the cards that you own or all of the more than 10,000 cards in the game. From there, you can also filter cards based on card type, attack and defense values, trap types, and more. Furthermore, players can also access user-created Public Decks for inspiration. Deck Tags also let you narrow your search down to more specific parameters, and even find decks from the Yu-Gi-Oh! Championship Series.
If you found a deck to your liking but don’t have the right cards for it? There are several options. The “How to Obtain” button on each card will show which pack to buy from the in-game Shop. Alternatively, you can also spend Craft Points to generate the card yourself. Players can earn these craft points through dueling other players, completing in-game missions, as well as dismantling cards they don’t need. Notably, the video also shows that there is a fixed probability of generating cards with different finishes and foils.
