Konami announced that Yu-Gi-Oh Master Duel will release in Winter 2021 through its TGS 2021 program. However, outside of its expected Winter release window, a definite release date has yet to be announced. Additionally, Konami confirmed the inclusion of a solo-mode that will be available in Yu-Gi-Oh Master Duel.
Footage of this never before seen solo-mode debuted during the TGS 2021 program. One of the solo-mode options includes a story mode, which was also demonstrated during the broadcast. The demonstration also revealed a better look at how the user interface will function. Players will be able to read card effects in full on the left-hand side of the screen. An archived version of the broadcast is immediately available to watch.
Yu-Gi-Oh Master Duel will incorporate the master rule system. Additionally, Konami has expressed that it will hold tournaments through Yu-Gi-Oh Master Duel. There will be professional and casual categories for players to enter. Over 10,000 cards will appear in the game, though not all of them will be available to obtain for free. More information regarding this title will appear in the future.
Yu-Gi-Oh Master Duel will release for the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Nintendo Switch, PC, and Android and iOS worldwide in Winter 2021.
