Ys VIII Adol Figure Pre-Orders Opened

Kotobukiya has opened pre-orders for its upcoming figure of Adol Christin from Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana. The company will formally release the figure in December 2024 with an MSRP of 26,950 yen (~$170.45).

This static figure will have a scale of 1/7. Adol Christin has an actual recorded height of 175 cm (5’9″), so his height on that scale would be 25 cm (9.84 in) when standing still. However, this figure will only have an overall height of around 22.5 cm (8.86 in) due to his sword-wielding stance.

Here are some of the sample images for Adol’s new figure, including the base pedestal designed after the Isle of Seiren:

The figure is also available to order via other websites that support international shipping, such as AmiAmi. However, only select stores like the Japan-exclusive Kotobukiya Online Shop will offer a bonus alternate head part that shows Adol smiling instead of frowning.

The pre-order window for Adol’s figure opened not long after Kotobukiya shared sample images of its prototype earlier in June 2024, as his figure is already completely painted. The company is also working on another figure based on Ys VIII‘s heroine Dana Iclucia. However, the latter will take more time until release, as the company has yet to paint her figure prototype.

Kotobukiya will formally release the Ys VIII Adol Christin figure in December 2024. It will model this figure after the series protagonist’s appearance in Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana, the action RPG available worldwide on PlayStation Vita, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
