Pre-orders for the dakimakura cover of Ys VIII‘s Adol are immediately available until November 15, 2021. Fuji Dakimakura will deliver the finished products in January 2022. However, it can only ship the item within Japan.

Nihon Falcom held a public poll to decide a dakimakura cover based on one of its male characters from late July to early August 2021. The Ys VIII version of Adol Christin won the poll, which had 390 eligible choices.

Adol Christin is the protagonist of Falcom’s long-running Ys series. While Adol has received new outfit designs with every successive title, this dakimakura cover will use his Ys VIII rendition. This marks the third character from Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana to receive a body pillow cover. Fuji Dakimakura had previously released covers of Laxia von Roswell and the title heroine Dana Iclucia.

Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana is currently available on the PlayStation Vita, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC. Nihon Falcom also announced a mobile version of Ys VIII for Android and iOS devices.
