Tadayoshi Ishihara, director of Growlanser IV: Over Reloaded, talked about the PSP version mentioning how the game has grown greatly over the original release. Players familiar with the PlayStation 2 version will see new event scenes made just for Growlanser IV: Over Reloaded, which expand on how the characters connect.
One interesting tidbit Ishihara mentions in an Atlus interview is it’s possible to save a character who is expected to die in the original version. Since fans experienced tragedy due to a character’s death in the PS2 release, they can savor the achievement of rescuing them in Growlanser IV: Over Reloaded. Ishihara doesn’t reveal who this is or if you can rescue multiple characters, but the story will change accordingly depending on your actions in Growlanser IV: Over Reloaded. Ishihara encourages players to try different things while playing the PSP version.
Growlanser IV: Over Reloaded has over 40 endings. The game even keeps track of which endings you earned. Just to give you an idea about how much new dialogue there is in this version, Ishihara says there is roughly double the amount of voice acting as there is in Growlanser IV: The Wayfarer of Time.
Growlanser IV: Over Reloaded comes out on August 18 and adds these two new characters…
