Back on December 6, 2018, Capcom revealed that in-game ads would be an optional feature added to Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition. The company noted that people would have the option to turn them on, then see ads on costumes, stages, and Versus loading screens starting on December 11, 2018. Now, Executive Producer Yoshinori Ono has released a statement regarding the advertising on both his official Twitter account and the Street Fighter account.

Ono’s statement on Street Fighter V in-game ads is as follows:

As a reminder, it is easy to turn ads off (or on) in Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition. The Battle Settings section will allow you to turn Sponsored Content on or off. You can then turn off Ad Style Costumes or the Loading & Stage Ads. However, if they are left on, people get more Fight Money after Casual and Ranked matches.

Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition is available for the PlayStation 4 and PC. In addition, Kage has just joined the cast.
