It took quite a long time, but it looks like the once widely-anticipated mobile game SINoALICE is finally coming to English-speaking shores. Publisher Nexon handed the reins back to original developer Pokelabo. In turn, Pokelabo announced a July 1st, 2020 launch date for the global edition of the game, exactly 100 days from now and nearly three years after its original Japanese launch. Nexon was originally supposed to release SINoALICE in July 2019, but suspended the launch for unspecified reasons. The game remained in limbo for months, leading many fans to assume it had been quietly abandoned. That is, until today.

SINoALICE is a turn-based mobile fantasy RPG, and achieved notoriety because NieR and Drakengard creator Yoko Taro served as the game’s creative director. Players control distorted interpretations of various fairy tale characters as they explore called “The Library”. Each character journeys and battles to fulfill their wish: To revive their “Author”. Playable characters include versions of Alice (from Alice Through The Looking Glass), Cinderella, and Snow White.
