Further details regarding the appearance of Sherlock Holmes and Watson in The Great Ace Attorney have emerged from this week’s issue of Famitsu magazine. For starters, Japanese blogs Game Jouhou and Hachima Kiko confirm that Watson is still an M.D. (Doctor of Medicine) in the game.

Iris Watson, who accompanies Holmes, is an eight-year-old girl with an M.D., and the two characters will encounter Ryuunosuke Naruhodou during the game’s cases.

At various points in the game, Holmes and Ryuunosuke will work together on investigations, and the game will have a “Joint Reasoning” feature where you guide Holmes’ reasoning to uncover the truth.

In terms of the flow of the game, The Great Ace Attorney will feature court sections and investigation sections, similar to previous games in the series. However, both characters and backgrounds will be depicted using 3D art this time.

The Great Ace Attorney will be released in Japan in 2015 for Nintendo 3DS.
