Being a sequel and all, a lot of Inuyasha character reappear in Yashahime. I mean, they’re older, but they’re still there. Before the show began airing, some of the Japanese cast confirmed they would reprise their roles. Now. Viz Media shared many of the returning English voice actors too. Most notably, the Yashahime Inuyasha and Sesshomaru roles will once again be played by the original actors, Richard Ian Cox and David Kaye.

Cox has played Inuyasha in multiple anime adaptations, movies, and games. For example, he was in the original 2000 show, showed up in movies like Affections Touching Across Time, and played the character in games like Inuyasha: Feudal Combat and Inuyasha: The Secret of the Cursed Mask. Likewise, Kaye has done the same for Sesshoumaru. (He also appeared as the voice of the character in both of the aforementioned games.)

Here is the latest Yashahime English dub’s cast list. Kelly Sheridan, Kirby Morrow, and Jillian Michaels will also return as Sango, Miroku, and Shippo.

  • Hisui: Aleks Lee
  • Inuyasha: Richard Ian Cox
  • Kagome: Kira Tozer
  • Kohaku: Alan Lee
  • Miroku: Kirby Morrow
  • Sango: Kelly Sheridan
  • Sesshomaru: David Kaye
  • Shippo: Jillian Michaels

We’ve known who the voice actresses for Inuyasha and Sesshomaru’s daughters are for a while. Back in October 2020, Viz Media confirmed that Morgan Berry would play Inuyasha’s daughter, Moroha. Sesshomaru’s daughters Setsuna and Towa will be played by Kira Buckland and Erica Mendez.

Yashahime is now airing in Japanese with English subtitles via Crunchyroll, Funimation, and Hulu. The English dub doesn’t have a release date yet.
