Genshin Impact Yanfei

Yanfei Shows Off Fiery Moves in New Genshin Impact Trailer

While the Traveler is busy building furniture with Hilichurls in preparation for the upcoming Serenitea Pot system in Genshin Impact, Yanfei is busy helping those in need with legal advice. She will appear in Zhongli’s re-run banner, Gentry of Hermitage, which should appear on April 28, 2021.

Her character demo, “Yanfei: Legal Expertise,” emphasizes Yanfei’s views on how knowing and adhering to the laws of Liyue can solve life’s problems. However, her thinking is not exactly black and white. According to her, law can be both a hindrance and a help. Like Ganyu, who became playable in Genshin Impact in January 2021, Yanfei has the blood of an illuminated beast flowing through her veins.

Similar to Klee, Yanfei is a Pyro Catalyst user, but in a more traditional sense. Whereas Klee’s animations involve her tossing bombs at enemies, Yanfei shoots out fireballs. She is more comparable to Ningguang in terms of play style. Each hit on an enemy will grant Yanfei one stack (Scarlet Seal) and when she has three, she can use an AoE Pyro attack.

In addition to a preview video, miHoYo uploaded information about Yanfei’s character and personality on Twitter.

Lizzie Freeman will voice Yanfei in English and Yumiri Hanamori will voice her in Japanese. Freeman voiced Trish Una in JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure, Delia in Ascendance of a Bookworm, and Mujika in The Promised Neverland. She also appeared in Genshin Impact before as Teucer. Other roles Hanamori is known for include Captain Nemo in Fate/Grand Order, Doumeki in Keep Your Hands Off Eizouken!, and Mercedes in Fire Emblem: Three Houses.

Genshin Impact is available on mobile devices, Windows PC, and the PlayStation 4. The PlayStation 5 version will also arrive on April 28, 2021.
