The Yakuza Complete Series games follows the saga of Kiryu, along with other characters that he meets along the way. Other playable protagonists include Goro Majima, Shun Akiyama, and Taiga Saejima. Kiryu’s story primarily takes place in Kamurocho, and follows his desire to leave the yakuza life behind and work at an orphanage. However, the troubles of the Tojo Clan pursue him, and he has to help out against conspiracies that threaten the balance of the city.

As for Yakuza 7 (Yakuza: Like a Dragon), the story shifts to Ichiban Kasuga. The mainline series will follow him now, as the eighth entry also stars him in the trailer. But Kiryu will still return in Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name. He sports a new look as well as a new fighting style.

The Yakuza Complete Series is on sale on GOG, though it’s unclear how long the discount will last, and is available for the Windows PC. Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name will come out on November 9, 2023 for the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and Windows PC. Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth will launch for the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and Windows PC in early 2024.
