Sega announced during a recent live stream hosted by Famitsu that Yakuza 6 is releasing a demo for Japan sometime before its release on December 8. [Thanks, Hachima.]

The demo will let players try out the first chapter of the game. While a release date for the demo wasn’t shared, it is expected to be announced during an event next week.

Additionally, those with save data from the demo will get to carry it over to the full release of the game. There will be a level cap for the demo, but you’ll get to visit the play spots and such within the designated areas.

The idea of the demo is to get those who own PS4s to try out Yakuza, to make gamers who own PS4s happy.

Yakuza 6 releases in Japan on December 8, 2016 for PlayStation 4.
