When the Genshin Impact 2.6 patch appeared, it ended up altering how one character worked a way. Changes to Yae Miko altered her Elemental Skill, which led to a nerf. Due to the new targeting system, it sometimes wasn’t working as intended or dealing damage. Now miHoYo announced it will rollback the changes on April 6, 2022. It will also give out Primogems to players as compensation.
Here’s what happened. When the Genshin Impact 2.6 changes went through, it unintentionally resulted in a nerf to Yae Miko’s Yakan Evocation: Sesshou Sakura. Normally, when she uses this she essentially places up to three “turrets” called Sesshou Sakura. These will deal Electro damage to foes while active. As a result of the patch, these would prioritize attacking the nearest enemy. The new patch will randomize the enemy target.
As for the free Primogems, everyone will get 100 of them. Those will be doled out in a message in the in-game mail between April 6-9, 2022.
This isn’t the first time a five-star Genshin Impact character was changed following feedback from players. After Zhongli’s launch in 2020, he received two rounds of buffs.
Genshin Impact is available for the PS4, PS5, PC, and mobile devices. It will also come to the Nintendo Switch.
