Xueyi Works on Many Teams in Honkai: Star Rail

Though Xueyi in Honkai: Star Rail is a Destruction character, she requires a bit more thought behind her teams. Not only does her kit focus on follow-up attacks, your team also needs to be able to reduce enemy Toughness.

To begin with, let’s quickly discuss how Xueyi works. Like Blade, Xueyi is a Destruction character capable of unleashing follow-up attacks when she gets a certain amount of stacks. In her case, she gets a stack whenever she or an ally reduces an enemy’s Toughness. Ideally, Xueyi should be the one who reduces the enemy’s Toughness since she can get more stacks. Meanwhile, an ally can straight up Break an enemy, and she’ll still only gain a single stack.

Which teams work well with Xueyi in Honkai: Star Rail?

• Seele | Xueyi | Silver Wolf | Fu Xuan
  This is a mono Quantum team in which Xueyi works as one of two DPS characters. If an enemy does not have a Quantum Weakness, then Silver Wolf can plant it. As a Nihility character, she can also debuff the enemy to increase your party’s performance. Xueyi is fairly versatile in this team, as you can use her as a standard DPS or just rely on her follow-up damage while conserving SP for either Silver Wolf or Seele. You can also replace Seele with Qingque if you don’t have her.
• Xueyi | Harmony Trailblazer | Pela | Lingsha
  This is a Break-focused team that takes advantage of Xueyi’s ability to Break enemies regardless of their Weakness. If you need to, you can replace Pela with Ruan Mei to improve Xueyi’s Weakness Break Efficiency. Trailblazer’s Super Break can help everyone deal more damage and Lingsha is the best sustain for a Break team. If you don’t have Lingsha but you want to run something similar, then Gallagher is a great substitute.
• Xueyi | Asta | Pela | Huohuo
  This is a team in which Xueyi acts as the main DPS. You can also replace Asta and Pela with any other Harmony and Nihility combination. Their main goal is to buff Xueyi, as well as help her gain stacks if the enemy has a Weakness to their particular element. Huohuo is a good sustain for Xueyi, and any hyper-carry team, because of her ability to buff ATK and help regenerate Energy. Something to remember about Huohuo is that she’s not a great healer. So this team is only if you’re positive that your characters can survive without a second Abundance or a Preservation.
• Xueyi | Sub-DPS | Ruan Mei | Sustain
  This is a team in which Xueyi works as the main DPS, while her sub-DPS helps her to inflict Weakness Break. Examples are Topaz & Numby, Jing Yuan, and Himeko. How many stacks Xueyi gains depends on how much Toughness she depletes, so Ruan Mei can help her with her Skill. As for your sustain unit, you can use any Abundance or Preservation you like.
