Soon you’ll be able to play classic Namco arcade games like Dig Dug and Pac-Man in PlayStation Home. Namco Bandai announced Namco Museum Essentials, a localized version of Namco Museum.comm, is slated to come out in July.

Hmm… I think we mentioned this before E3… anyway Xevious: Resurrection, a brand new Xevious game is part of the six game package. Namco Museum Essentials has leaderboards, trophies, and PlayStation Home rewards to collect. Not sure about buying this? You can play a trial version in Namco Bandai’s home space. While officially unannounced for Europe, a rating for Namco Museum.comm is in Germany’s video game rating database. Chances are pretty good that Xevious: Resurrection will appear in PAL territories too.

The most surprising part about the announcement is it talks about The Idolm@ster. I believe this is the first time Namco Bandai Games America mentioned the series in a press release. Not only did they mention it, but they highlighted virtual Idolm@ster items as things players can collect instead of Tekken costumes. But, wait a second The Idolm@ster is only in Japan. Interesting…
