Jools Watsham of Renegade Kid announced that Xeodrifter would be heading to Wii U on the 15th episode of the Nintendo Enthusiast podcast. You can hear him talk about it from 1:10:00 on this video (thanks Nintendo Everything).

Further, Watsham said that Rengade Kid is “thinking” about offering a cross-buy deal across the Wii U and 3DS versions of Xeodrifter. However, he said that he’s conflicted on the idea himself as it means everyone who owns the 3DS version already will get the Wii U version for free, meaning that Renegade Kid may miss out on those extra sales.

“I don’t think [cross-buy] is a good idea for us but that’s just the way things are going so why fight against it, you know? That’s what the players want so that’s what they’ll get,” Watsham said during the podcast.

Previously, it was revealed that Renegade Kid is working with Gambitious Digital Entertainment to bring Xeodrifter to PC, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita, with Wii U and Xbox One versions of the game still undecided. Now, obviously, we know that the Wii U version is certainly happening.
