In his latest tweets, Xenoblade Chronicles X producer Shingo Kawabata touched upon the game’s sound effects. Kawabata wrote that the game uses an extensive range of SFX, and that these have been produced by Shojiro Nakaoka and a studio named Sound Racer.

Sound Racer are working on both the Japanese and Western builds of the game, and specialize in providing sound-related services for videogames and movies. They’ve been around for quite a while, too. Here are some of the games they’ve been involved with:

  • The Legend of Legacy
  • Terra Battle
  • Tekken Tag Tournament 2
  • Sonic Colors
  • Disaster: Day of Crisis
  • Xenosaga Episodes 2 and 3
  • Kingdom Hearts
  • Soulcalibur 3
  • Ridge Racer 6
  • Final Fantasy VI through X-2
  • Chrono Trigger
  • Super Mario RPG

As mentioned, in addition to game, Sound Racer have also been involved with a few movies, including the live-action Rurouni Kenshin movie from Warner Bros. Japan. They also worked on Electric Dragon 80.000 V by director Sogo Ishii.
