While the Xenoblade Chronicles Future Connected epilogue being added for the Xenoblade Chronicles Definitive Edition will add new things, like different battle options being added exclusively for this adventure, it will also be connected to the past. Most notably, by retaining the actors people know and love. Nintendo Treehouse’s Robert Watters confirmed in a RogersBase video that the Xenoblade Chronicles Future Connected voice actors for Shulk and Melia are back for this adventure. [Thanks, Resetera!]
Here’s the RogersBase interview with Watters. In it, Watters confirmed that Adam Howden is still Shulk and Jenna Coleman is still Melia. At the ten minute mark, you can start seeing the new Xenoblade Chronicles Future Connected voice acting and story segments with Shulk, Melia, Nene, and Kino.
Watters also noted that the outfits earned from Future Connected could be used in the main game, should someone play the epilogue first, or that the main game’s outfits could be used in the epilogue if you play that after.
Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition will come to the Nintendo Switch on May 29, 2020. As a reminder, it will add this new epilogue and a Time Attack Mode. You can also catch up and see more of the new elements in Nintendo’s most recent trailer.
