The information comes from download cards that are now available for purchase in Japan.

The download card has a bit on Xenoblade Chronicles Definitive Edition‘s additional scenario, Future Connected, which reveals Melia’s after-story. In addition to a new map(s), it will also feature a new battle system that uses Nopon’s reinforcements. Other than that, it doesn’t go into too much detail, but we can expect to hear more about it before the game’s release next month.
In case you missed it, we recently got a look at a batch of screenshots showing various fields of Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition. We also got to look at comparison screenshots from the original Xenoblade Chronicles for Wii. You can also check out screenshots of Shulk, Fiora, Melia, and every other hero in our previous report.
Xenoblade Chronicles Definitive Edition will release for the Nintendo Switch on May 29, 2020. The game is currently available for the Wii and New Nintendo 3DS. The upcoming Switch version will include a “Future Connected” epilogue that takes place a year after the end of the game.
