With Xenoblade Chronicles Definitive Edition, Nintendo has been gradually sharing new screenshots and videos that give people an idea of exactly how different the game will look and sound on the Nintendo Switch. While initially a lot of this focused on major characters, like Shulk, Melia, Fiora, and Reyn, then brought up peeks at new content like extra outfits and the Time Attack mode, the latest batch of screenshots looks at secondary characters. To be specific, we now know what the Xenoblade Chronicles Definitive Edition Alvis, Dickson, and Mumkhar character updates all look like.
Editor’s Note: There will be no Xenoblade Chronicles spoilers below.
First, the official Japanese Twitter account offered a look at Dickson. This is the man who found and raised Shulk. He also fought alongside both Dunban and Mumkhar at The Battle of Sword Valley, which people get to experience at the beginning of Xenoblade Chronicles Definitive Edition.
Next up is Mumkhar. Like Dickson and Dunban, he fought at The Battle of Sword Valley. However, he is desperate to have the Monado Dunban is wielding in the introduction. As with Dickson’s, his Twitter reveal included two screenshots and his new character render.
As for the Xenoblade Chronicles Definitive Edition Alvis Twitter reveal, it pays particular attention to his new necklace. In this updated version of the game, it has been changed to reference Xenoblade Chronicles 2. As for his role, he’s a mysterious figure who can use the Monado, just like Shulk can, and shows up to occasionally offer some advice or cryptic hints for Shulk.
Xenoblade Chronicles Definitive Edition will come to the Nintendo Switch worldwide on May 29, 2020 and add things like a Time Attack Mode and the Future Connected epilogue. Xenoblade Chronicles is immediately available worldwide on both the New Nintendo 3DS and the Nintendo Wii.
