In Xenoblade Chronicles 3, characters in the party can pair up to create Ouroboros units. These larger forms offer various benefits. While past announcements brought up the concept and offered screenshots showing what happens after interlinking, the latest art offers a closer look. Each one hints at an Ouroboros’ role in battle and shows how a specific pair looks.
First, here’s Noah and Mio when they interlink. Nintendo’s announcement specifically pointed to its sword. This suggests it could be the “offensive” unit of the three.
Next, Nintendo showed what happens when the Xenoblade Chronicles 3 characters Eunie and Taion Interlink. Their Ouroboros is a supporter. The announcement specifically suggested it is a healer. It mentioned one ability can “revive all fallen allies at once.” The unit also has the same “wings” on its head that the High Entia Eunie possesses.
Finally, here’s Lanz and Sena’s Ouroboros in Xenoblade Chronicles 3. It seems to act as a team’s tank. However, Nintendo did point out it can deal damage too.
As a reminder, each Ouroboros features one character from the Keves off-seer group and another from the Agnus one. Noah, Eunie, and Lanz are from Keves, while Mio, Taion, and Sena are from Agnus.
Xenoblade Chronicles 3 will come to the Nintendo Switch on July 29, 2022.
