WWE’s The New Day Brightens Up Wrestlemania With Final Fantasy XIV-Inspired Outfits

During this year’s Wrestlemania, WWE’s The New Day arrived in a surprising display of Final Fantasy-inspired power. They entered the stadium pushing a cart decked out with Moogles and a Fat Chocobo to boot. The members of The New Day were sporting flashy and colorful versions of Jobs from Final Fantasy XIV, such as Monk and the upcoming Samurai and Red Mage, to celebrate its expansion, Stormblood, which will be releasing later in June.

While at first glance this might seem like an odd mashup, The New Day member Xavier Woods is an avid gamer and fan of the Final Fantasy series.

Final Fantasy XIV is available for PC, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 3. The upcoming expansion, Stormblood, will release on June 20th, though those who preorder the game will gain a few days of early access ahead of the game’s launch.
