Wizardry: Seimei no Kusabi (Wizardry: Wedge of Life) is a dungeon crawler with more threats than demons and snakes with pointy tails. Dungeons in this game are loaded with live traps.

This trailer showcases hazards like spiked floors and moving guillotine blades. (Thanks for the trailer link Denpa no Sekai!!) Most RPGs have static dungeons and active monsters. The concept of a “living” dungeon that can damage you is rather refreshing, especially since the crux of Wizardry is delving into a dungeon. Players can also interact with the environment by poking damaged walls with the stylus to shatter them.

Wizardry: Wedge of Life comes out in Japan on November 19 and as of now it will only be sold on Amazon Japan. A puzzling decision since a fair amount of work went into Wizardry: Wedge of Life, arguably more effort than certain retail DS games.
