Chucklefish hasn’t revealed many updates about Witchbrook, its upcoming life sim game, but now offered a peek into its world. Namely, it’s begun sharing issues of Mossport’s “The Witchbrook Oracle.” This is a fake newspaper offering insights into the game’s world on the official site. While there aren’t gameplay details, there is a screenshot. It also provided insights into some lore. While nothing is confirmed, a number of stories read like they could hint at events and activities.
The main headline in this Witchbrook newspaper offers updates on an Annual Pumpkin Growing Competition. This could hint at an event people can take part in during the game during the Autumn season. It noted that competitors attempt to grow the heaviest, biggest pumpkins. Which could also hint at the part farming might play in the game.
Another potential event is mentioned at the bottom of the “paper.” The “Community Notice” mentions trick-or-treating for Halloween. This could hint at another activity that will be held in the game.
One of the other updates sounds like something that could end up becoming a Witchbrook quest. A lost watering can is mentioned. People are asked to take it to the post office if they find it.
Witchbrook is a magical life sim game in development for unspecified platforms. Chucklefish’s last update involved three screenshots for it.
