Officially, there hasn’t been any announcement regarding the release date for Gran Turismo 7, but a user called ElieTheStig over at GTPlanet, a site dedicated to covering and discussing racing games, might have spotted a clue as to when we can expect to see Sony’s exclusive racer. [Thanks, GTPlanet!]

If the report is accurate, then Gran Turismo 7 is currently slated to release in the near future. The information comes from what is reportedly an official ad for the game. In the ad, text written in French reads, “Sortie prévue pour la première moitié de 2021,” which essentially says that the release is planned for the first half of 2021. At the moment, GTPlanet hasn’t been able to verify the claim and Sony hasn’t yet made a statement.

In general, details are sparsely available for Gran Turismo 7, which was announced by Sony Interactive Entertainment on June 11, 2020 during the “Future of Gaming Show.” The game will feature a new campaign mode. Polyphony Digital’s Kazunori Yamauchi expects that fans will enjoy this mode. We’ve also seen a variety of the cars that will be present in the title as well as some of the game’s menus.

Gran Turismo 7 is set to release for Sony’s PlayStation 5. It is the first title in the franchise to come out since Gran Turismo Sport in 2017.
