Call of Duty: Warzone is back in business with a new map and season with Season 1 and Urzikstan, and the return of fan-favorite maps like Vondel. However, one of the unavailable features is Warzone Ranked Play, which isn’t here right now.

Warzone Ranked Unavailable Error Explained

When you go to the battle royale section of Warzone right now, you’ll find that the Ranked Play option is unavailable. There are options for normal battle royale, game modes like Plunder, Resurgence, and even private matches. However, there is no option to play Ranked.

This is not an error or bug, as you might expect. Developer Raven Software removed Ranked Play on purpose from Warzone in preparation for Season 1. It is not available at this time and players will not be able to check it out for a while.

When Will the Warzone Ranked Play Return?

There is no exact release date at this time for Warzone Ranked Play. That said, we have somewhat of an idea of when it will return. It is expected to come back sometime in early 2024. This could indicate anywhere between January-March 2024, so there are two solid options for when players could see it again.

The first is with Season 1 Reloaded, which releases in mid-January 2024. This midseason update will bring with it Ranked Play for multiplayer, so the battle royale equivalent could happen at the same time. Alternatively, we could see Ranked Play come out for battle royale game modes in Season 2. We should know more once we are in the new year.

Call of Duty: Warzone is available right now alongside Modern Warfare 3 on the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
