Island Gold Ore Requirements

First and foremost, there are some requirements you must meet before you can even mine yourself some Island Gold Ore in Island Sanctuary. The first is you must reach Sanctuary Rank 16. This lets you craft the Bestestest Mammet-sized Builder’s Tool, which lets you reach the new Mother Lode region within Hollow Mountain.

From there, you then need to rank up one more time to Sanctuary Rank 17 to unlock the Islekeep’s Mythril Pickaxe crafting recipe. This particular item requires the following materials:

• 3 Island Iron Ore
• 3 Island Resin
• 4 Island Mythril Ore
• 3 Island Hawk’s Eye Sand

Once you have these, craft this pickaxe and you will be able to get some Island Gold Ore finally.

FFXIV Gold Ore Island Sanctuary location

The FFXIV Island Gold Ore location is around X: 22.9, Y: 21.6 within the Mother Lode region inside the Hollow Mountain caves. You want to, specifically, look for the yellowish rocks within this cavern area. Fortunately, this little cave has only two types of mining spots, so it is easy to locate.

Then, you want to start running around this circular cave in a cycle of grinding the yellowish rocks and crystal formations. This allows you to gather up the Island Gold Ore as fast as possible for whatever workshop or renovation projects you need it for.
