Where to Find Violet Coral in Wuthering Waves

Violet Coral in Wuthering Waves is an ascension material that you can find in places like Wuming Bay, Norfall Barrens, and the Black Shores. Though you can’t purchase this item in any shops (as of the time of writing), it’s a common overworld material that you can come across in abundance when exploring.

Where can I find Violet Coral in Wuthering Waves?

When collecting Violet Coral, you simply need to go up to it and grab it. As you can imagine, they grow near the water. So even if you’re not sure where to look, you can go to the edge of the above regions to look for Violet Corals there.

What can you use Violet Coral for in Wuthering Waves?

As mentioned earlier, Violet Coral is an ascension material in Wuthering Waves. Characters like Xiangli Yao and Youhu need it to level up. Since you can find them in Huanglong, new players won’t be locked behind story content when trying to level up their characters. However, the majority of them are in Norfall Barrens and Black Shores. So you should at least gain access to the Black Shores if you want to farm Violet Corals with any real efficiency. To get to the Black Shores, you must first start the “Hidden Between the Waves” quest.

When using Violet Coral as an ascension material, you will need 60 to fully level up a character. This doesn’t change between rarities, meaning that both a 5-star and a 4-star requires the same number of coral. However, there’s only a maximum of around 88 Violet Corals on the map, so even if you grab every last one on the map, you can only fully ascend one character from Level 1 in a single day.
