Where to Find the Tools and complete the Road to Brightoak in Mirthwood

Once you’ve finished (or skipped!) the prologue section of the game, ‘The Road to Brightoak’ will be one of the first quests in your journal. You’ll be directed to follow the road south of your farm round to Brightoak, where Clifford the barkeep will direct you to the farm north-east of the town. Speak to Kimberley there who will tell you of a set of abandoned tools just up the road. Before heading off, be sure to purchase 3 Onion Seeds and 3 Pea Seeds from the nearby stall.

The directions are a little vague, and the tools themselves are well out from the marked yellow area on the map so they can be a little tricky to find. You’ll want to follow the road up as Kimberley says but instead of heading eastwards towards the coast, follow the western path. Keep on the path until you come across a shattered cart near a tree, and you’ll find your new tools in a box amongst the remains. Grab them to complete the quest.
