Where to Find the Four Treasures in Grandia

Finding the four treasures is the first quest you encounter in Grandia, immediately when you start the game. Each treasure is hidden somewhere within Parm, although you have few clues about where they may be.

In reality, the four treasures in Grandia are just ordinary household items, claimed to be legendary gear by Justin’s rival Gantz. You gain the first treasure in the opening cutscene, where Justin’s friend Sue hands him the Legendary Armor, aka a Dirty Apron. The remaining treasures are all up to you, however.

Where do I find the Battered Pot in Grandia?

Also known as the Warrior’s Helmet, this one is fairly easy to find. An NPC wandering around near the river (close to Gantz and his gang) mentions that Gantz was messing around nearby. If you head down the stairs to the river side and follow it all the way, you’ll find the Battered Pot sitting there.

Where do I find the Pot Lid in Grandia?

Also known as the Shield of Light, you’ll need to head over to the Port of Parm for this treasure. You can find this area to the north of the town, accessed at the end of a wide street. An NPC here questions why Gantz would leave a pot lid lying around. Simply head around the corner from this NPC to find the Pot Lid leaning against the warehouse.

Where do I find the Wooden Sword in Grandia?

Once you have the previous treasures, you’ll need to head back to Gantz. Speak to him to show him the treasures you’ve found, then speak to him a second time so he’ll reveal that the final treasure, the Sword, is in the chest in his house. However, the key is in a secret place you’ll never find.

Head to Gantz’s house, which is located a little north of the bridge he’s standing on. If you speak to his mom, she’ll reveal that his little brother Tentz has the key. You may encounter him while trying to find the previous treasures, but any time you walk near him, he will run away. You can try and chase him down, but he’ll just run back and forth between the café area and the river side. You’ll never reach him.

However, once you’ve learned that he has the key, you can finally speak to him outside the café. Problem is, he’s lost the key. Speak to him enough until he reveals that he dropped it near the river outside the café. Walk past him and both Justin and Sue will start crawling around. Head right to the edge of the river about halfway between the café and the building opposite. Tentz will let you keep the key.

Now you simply need to head back to Gantz’s house, unlock the chest in the corner and retrieve the Wooden Sword. Take it back to Gantz to find him distracted, allowing you to sneak past.

The four treasures can now be used as gear if you wish, although unsurprisingly, none of their stats are great and are quickly replaced by better options. You can’t sell them though, so put them in your Stash at home.
