With Grizzbolt being one of the first boss fights you will encounter in Palworld, many players may wonder how to catch the giant Electric-type Pal. Here is where to find Grizzbolt in Palworld and how to breed them.
Where to find Grizzbolt in Palworld – location
In Palworld, you first encounter Grizzbolt at the Rayne Syndicate Tower when facing off against Zoe. If you are like me, you may have been immediately curious about where you can catch the Pal so that you can own a mini-gun! Despite being introduced in the game early, Grizzbolt is actually hard to find, as it only spawns in one place on the entire map.
Grizzbolt can be found in Wildlife Sanctuary 1 in Palworld, located south of the Plateau of Beginnings in the ocean. Because of how far it is into the sea, you should use one of the flying mounts in Palworld or a Pal that can swim. However, if your stamina is high enough, you may be able to physically glide or swim to it.

How to catch Grizzbolt in Palworld
Knowing where to find Grizzbolt is only half the battle, as there are a couple of hurdles to clear before you can catch it. As mentioned above, it’s recommended that you use one of the flying mounts in Palworld, as its location is in the ocean. The Pal doesn’t always spawn, so you may have to quickly leave and re-enter the area, meaning flying is your best option here.
Another factor to consider is that it’s actually a “crime” to enter the Pal Sanctuary. So, if you get spotted by a guard on the island, you will get a Wanted Level. This is another reason you want to use a flying mount so you can zip around the Sanctuary without being spotted.
Below are the steps you can take to catch Grizzbolt:
- Warp to the Sea Breeze Archipelago Castaway Beach fast travel point.
- From the beach shore, hop on a flying or swimming mount and go to the spot shown on the map above.
- Once you arrive at Wildlife Sanctuary 1, look around the area to see if Grizzbolt has spawned in.
- If Grizzbolt isn’t here, hop on your mount and return to the ocean a few feet to reset the Pal spawns.
- Continue to enter and re-enter the Wildlife Sanctuary until you see Grizzbolt.
- Grizzbolt is weak to Ground-type attacks, so bring Rushoar, Fuddler, Dumud or Digtoise.
- Grizzbolt spawns at around levels 20 to 22, so I recommend you use a Giga Sphere, which can be crafted for 2 Paladium Fragment, 2 Ingot, 7 Wood, and 7 Stone.
- After you get its health to 10%, immediately withdraw your Ground-type Pal so it doesn’t accidentally knock Grizzbolt out. Throw as many Giga Sphere’s at it until you catch the Electric-type Pal.
How to breed Grizzbolt in Palworld
If you aren’t able to make it to the Wildlife Sanctuary, you can use breeding in Palworld to obtain Grizzbolt. Unlike most Pals in the game, though, only one breed combination makes the giant Electric-type. So you must have the correct Pals if you want to go the breeding route.
You will also need to have the Breeding Ranch, which is unlocked at level 19. Below, we will break down the Grizzbolt Breeding combo in Palworld and the steps you need to complete to obtain the Mini-Gun Pal.

- Mossanda x Rayhound
- Grizzbolt x Grizzbolt
Palworld Mossanda Location
Mossanda can be found in the Mossanda Forest in Palworld. The forest is south of the Sealed Realm of the Swift, which is the Alpha Verdash icon on your map. You can find Mossanda’s exact spawn locations in the habitat map here:
Palworld Rayhound Location
Rayhound can be found in the Dessicated Desert in Palworld, which is the desert region north on your map. You can find a detailed breakdown of its spawn area in our Where to find Rayhound in Palworld guide. Here is its exact location in the map below:
Now that you have the correct Pals, here are the steps to breed Grizzbolt:
- Unlock and craft the Breeding Farm at level 19.
- After reaching level 17, Craft a Cooking Pot and place it in your base camp.
- Use the Cooking Pot to bake a Cake using 5 Flour, 8 Red Berries, 7 Milk, 8 Eggs, and 2 Honey.
- Catch a Mossanda and a Rayhound. Make sure one is male and the other is female.
- Next, assign them to the breeding farm by picking each Pal up and throwing them inside of the structure’s fence.
- Place the Cake in the box attached to the side of the Breeding Farm.
- Wait four minutes until the breeding meter is filled up.
- A Huge Electric Egg should eventually appear in your farm.
- Pick up the Huge Egg, place it in an Egg Incubator at your base, and wait for it to hatch.
How to catch Grizzbolt Zoe
The final way to get Grizzbolt is to use a Palworld glitch that lets you catch Zoe from the Rayne Syndicate Tower fight. You read that right! While at the Wildlife Sanctuary or Small Settlement fast travel point, attack the guards to get a wanted level. Then fast travel out and go to the Rayne Syndicate Tower and quickly enter the fight.
Because you have a wanted level on you, the guards should follow you into the boss arena. Run around until the guards accidentally hit Grizzbolt and Zoe. This will then allow you to catch a special version of Grizzbolt that has Zoe on its back. Simply throw any Sphere at it, and you will be able to catch it!
It should be stated, though, that Pocketpair may patch out the Zoe and Grizzbolt glitch. So even if you do catch it, the special version of the Pal may eventually be removed from the game in a future update. Still, it’s a pretty cool trick.
