Cyberpunk Edgerunners anime fans may be happy to know that there is a significant David Martinez Easter egg now available in Cyberpunk 2077 2.0. All players can see this tribute to the Netflix anime adaptation with the free update, and it doesn’t require you to purchase the Phantom Liberty DLC, either. Here’s the location of the David Martinez Easter egg.

Note: Full spoilers lie ahead for the Edgerunners anime. If you haven’t finished the show, turn away now.
To find the Cyberpunk 2077 2.0 David Martinez Edgerunners tribute, head to the Westbrook District on the eastern side of Night City. In the North Oak area of the district, you can find the Columbarium. This is the major cemetery for the city, and it just so happens you can find a tribute to multiple characters from the anime there.
The cemetery has a vigil area where you can see and interact with the resting place of the cremated bodies of the fallen anime characters. The characters cremated and resting here include the following anime characters who fell:
- David Martinez
- Rebecca
- Gloria Martinez (David’s mom)
- Kiwi
- Julio
- Maine
- Pilar
- Dorio
You can see tributes to all of these fallen characters at the cemetery. Perhaps the most depressing part is the statement remembering David. It states “you didn’t take me to the moon, but you were there with me.” This epitaph seems to be from Lucy, who was one of the only survivors at the end of the award-winning series.
It currently remains unknown if Lucy appears in Cyberpunk 2077 2.0 as an NPC character. However if not, perhaps she will appear in the game in the future. That could allow for a fitting conclusion for her story.
Cyberpunk 2077 2.0 is available for the PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
