Where to Farm Hylian Rice in Tears of the Kingdom

You need Hylian Rice for certain side quests and recipes in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. It can be hard to track down, especially with vendors that sell it only restocking every few days. However, there’s a way to farm a load of it in just a few minutes.

How do I farm Hylian Rice in The Legend of  Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom?

Hylian Rice grows naturally in the East Necluda region of Hyrule in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. You can’t see it on the overworld though, meaning it’s time to sharpen your blades. In classic The Legend of Zelda fashion, you need to cut some grass.

The best place that I’ve found for farming Hylian Rice is just outside of the Rabella Wetlands Skyview Tower. Fast travel here, then head out into the pool surrounding the tower (map coordinates 2383, -2749, 0214). You’ll see grass growing in the water. This is what you want to cut.

There’s a ton of grass here, and though you won’t get some Hylian Rice with every slice, it does drop quite frequently. It took me around 10 minutes to gather 40 bushels of the ingredient, which is much quicker than waiting for Hateno Village’s general store to restock it.

Once all of the grass has been sliced, head north from the Rabella Wetlands Skyview Tower and over Mount Taran to reach Koto Pond and Hanu Pond. Grass grows in abundance at these spots, which means lots of rice for the taking.

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is available now exclusively on the Nintendo Switch. If you’ve yet to find every Fairy Fountain, here’s what you need to know.
