This mark is an interesting one! Odds are, you’ll happen upon the Severian Notorious Mark in Final Fantasy XVI before it shows up on Nektar’s Hunt Board. That’s because it’s right on the way to to get to the place you need to go to for a Rosaria quest called “The Root of the Problem.”
So where is the Mark Severian in Final Fantasy XVI?
Teleport to Martha’s Rest. Head west into Sorrowise, then take the northern path. Stay along the “road” area. If you’re on “The Root of the Problem” sidequest you can take around the time of the “After the Storm” storyline quest, you’ll run right into the Severian on your way to pick some flowers.

While Severian is a B-rank Notorious Mark in Final Fantasy XVI, it isn’t a difficult fight. It’s a Fallen-type monster. It’s at level 31, but I had no trouble defeating it at level 28.
Once the battle is done, you get 800 EXP, 70 AP, 8,500 gil, 20 renown, and an Electrum. That material comes in handy for making the accessory you learn about in the earlier sidequest “Blacksmith’s Blues.”
Final Fantasy XVI is available for the PlayStation 5. There is a six-month exclusivity period.
