Where Is the Ruin Reawakened Notorious Mark in Final Fantasy XVI

Some Final Fantasy XVI Notorious Marks like Ruin Reawakened are “mysterious.” You’ll get a hint about the opponent and their rank, in this case S, as well as know the basic rewards. But you won’t see the opponent’s identity, a picture, or their exact location. This means they can be tricky to find! However, finding Svarog in Final Fantasy XVI is the easiest part of this “quest.”

Where can I find the Notorious Mark described in ‘Ruined Reawakened’ on the Final Fantasy XVI Hunt Board?

While most of the Notorious Mark hunts in Final Fantasy XVI with ??? as a location are hard to find, Svarog’s description gives us a lot of clues. It mentions ruins and woods in Sanbrequois. If you’re familiar with the area and already been around it, you’ll know that fits the Glorieuse region, which is right near the Caer Norvent Glorieuse Gate for fast traveling on the world map. There’s a woodland path right there, as well as an open space at the end of the Mornebrume path that looks suspicious. I took a screenshot, so you know exactly where to go to find the dragon.

Svarog is a tough fight in Final Fantasy XVI! Especially if you come into it under-leveled. The dragon is at level 50, and I faced it at level 42. Now, I beat him, so it’s possible, but I did use more Potions and High Potions than I’d have liked. The thing about Svarog is that this dragon is big, likes to shoot off bullets and pillars of energy with attacks like Red Dawn and Embroil. It will also use both Dragon Dance during the main portion of the battle and Last Dance when its health is low. When I fought it, Last Dance was immediately followed by Embroil and Red Dawn attacks as well.

You do get more than appropriate rewards for surviving and defeating the dragon. Make it through and you earn 25,000 EXP, 300 AP, 30,000 gil, 60 renown, one Orichalcum, a Fallen Enigma, an Amber, and an Empty Shard.

Final Fantasy XVI is available for the PlayStation 5, as is a demo. There is a six-month exclusivity period.
