Where Is Blastpowder Soil in LOZ Echoes of Wisdom

Once you get to the Goron village and Eldin Volcano Trail area in The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom, you’ll find a character named Basa in need of Blastpowder Spoil. However, unlike many of these sorts of sidequests, you can’t just summon an echo to save the day. If you want to finish “The Fireworks Artist” in Echoes of Wisdom, you need to actually go to a specific spot and pick up a certain item.

Where do I find the Blastpowder Soil for “The Fireworks Artist” in The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom?

This is one of those situations where I find it is best to take the quest right away. Both events in the area and general exploration will eventually send you to the area near the mines where you’ll find the Blastpowder Soil. It’s better to have it in your quest log, so it’ll automatically work out as you naturally make your way through the area.

The two main spots here in the Eldin Volcano area are the Goron village just north of Kakariko Village and the mines all the way in the upper west side of the region. Go into town and visit Basa first. The Goron is in the upper right room on the second floor. Basa will explain he needs the special powder for fireworks and explain it is near yellow flowers.

Now, here are two screenshots I took of the map that show the two places you need to go for this sidequest. As long as you have a Crawltula, it isn’t too troublesome a journey. Just beware of all the fire and bomb-spitting enemies along the way.

Once you get there, finding the Blastpowder Soil for “The Fireworks Artist” in The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom is pretty obvious. There will be a sparkling spot on the ground. Approaching it causes a “check” prompt tied to the A button to come up. Press the button, and you’ll get the quest item. (Don’t forget to also activate the Waypoint nearby!)

Here’s the exact Blastpowder Soil location.

Teleport back to the Goron village. Talk to Basa. Watch an event scene, and you’ll be rewarded with 50 rupees.

The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom is available for the Nintendo Switch.
