Where are the Refurbishment Materials in FFVII Rebirth?

One of the first sidequests after finishing the Costa del Sol storyline in FFVII Rebirth is to help Johnny with “The Saga of the Seaside Inn” by finding Refurbishment Materials. However, because the Johnnys don’t tell you exactly where to find those key items in initial conversations.

Where do I find the Refurbishment Materials for Johnny’s “The Saga of the Seaside Inn” in FFVII Rebirth?

So this quest you can do basically right as Chapter 6 begins. After you go through the initial story quests and Yuffie joins, don’t immediately leave Costa del Sol and Johnny’s inn. Instead, go talk to him. He’ll reveal the clones of him that Yuffie made are still around, so he has the manpower for his hotel, but he hasn’t heard from some of them. 

This sends you on a mission to help. Your first stop is the Costa Falls, where two Johnnys are waiting in one of the cabanas there. I marked the spot on the map below where you can find them.

They’ll tell you that they need the eight Refurbishment Materials, which they dropped while running from fiends. What they won’t say, unless you ask for more details, is that they dropped them at the ziplines. So you need to visit the eight ziplines in this area and grab the key Refurbishment Material items at the top platform for each of them.

Here are all of the screenshots showing where they are on the map, as well as photos of where they are for you to grab in most situations. Note that during this quest a special check mark icon will also appear to let you know you grabbed a Refurbishment Material key item from that point.

Note that each zipline spot is also a fast travel point, which really helps when traveling around the area.

Of those eight spots, I found the most challenging was the one near the factory. You actually need to walk a bit behind the abandoned building to find this yellow ladder that takes you up to the spot you need.

Take the materials back to the Johnnys at Costa Falls, and then the next part of this FFVII Rebirth “The Saga of the Seaside Inn” sidequest will kick off.
