Where Are the Gongaga Chickens in FFVII Rebirth?

One of the more annoying side jobs you can do with Red XIII in Final Fantasy VII Rebirth is found in the Gongaga Region. An older lady asks the player to find all four of her lost chickens in Gongaga in FFVII Rebirth, and here is where you can find them.

Where do I find all the Gongaga chickens locations in FFVII Rebirth

There are four chickens in this Gongaga side quest. Fortunately, Red XIII sniffs them out and leads you to all four of them. That said, in case you need a little extra help, you can find all four of the chickens’ locations in the screenshot above, plus a little descriptor for each below:

  • Chicken #1: Just outside of the entrance to the older lady’s farm.
  • Chicken #2: A little southeast of the farm along the main road.
  • Chicken #3: A little north of the farm.
  • Chicken #4: Way outside of town, southeast of it in a clearing near a cliff.

Tips for how to complete “O Chicken Where Art Thou” in FFVII Rebirth

The main issue with this particular FFVII Rebirth side job comes from bringing the chickens back. You have a clanger you can throw down to attract the chickens. You have to walk backwards slowly and press L2 to pull the clanger and lure the chicken back home. This is quite annoying, as if you pull too far away, the chicken will lose interest. If you don’t pull fast enough, the chicken will attack the clanger and run away.

The goal here is to pull out the clanger, walk a couple steps back, pull on it, walk back some more, and then pull on it again. Keep this rhythm up with a small distance between the chicken and the clanger, and you should be able to return it home. Watch out for when the chicken has a question mark above its head. Stop and give it a second to change back to an exclamation point. And if it has a red circle, it is about to charge so pull the clanger back as much as possible. Fortunately, the fourth and final one is quite easy to do since a fight begins soon after pulling it back and the quest pretty much ends right after that.

Final Fantasy VII Rebirth is available right now exclusively for the PS5.
