How do I unlock the Funky Fungi Level in Astro Bot?

The Castlevania characters can all be found in a secret level in Astro Bot called Funky Fungi, which is located in the mysterious Lost Galaxy. To find it, you have to find secret exits in other levels. Funky Fungi, where Richter and Alucard can be found alongside a Bloodborne Hunter, is accessed through Creamy Canyon.

To find the secret exit, you’ll need to reach the part of the level where you have to throw a pig robot into an ice wall to progress. However, instead of throwing it at the ice wall, turn around and look for a walrus sculpture you can throw it at instead. Once this is smashed, head to where it was, use a ladybug robot to bounce up to the platform, and drill into the ground with a charged punch.

Here you’ll find the secret exit, where you’ll be instantly transported to the Lost Galaxy portion of the map with Funky Fungi unlocked.

Where do I find Richter Belmont (Vampire Killer) in Astro Bot?

Richter is the first of the two Castlevania characters you’ll find in Astro Bot. He’s also easy to find, as he shows up early in the Funky Fungi level. Once you’ve landed, follow the path and use charged punches to move the various circular platforms you’ll find.

After using one to fly up to the top of a rock formation, you’ll see Richter immediately. He’s just hanging out on a rock on the left of this new platform, so simply interact with him and add him to the team.

Where do I find Alucard (Dandy Dhampir)?

Alucard is not as easy to find as Richter. Later in the Funky Fungi level, you’ll face off against a giant plant enemy. You’ll need to use a flower plucked from the ground to reach one of the high mushroom platforms, then glide over the flower to defeat it. This will allow you to drill down to a new area of the level.

As soon as you’re in this level, look for a collection of rocks with a suspicious blue glow. Smack the rocks away to reveal another drill point. Use it to reach a hidden waterfall area. Here you’ll need to tilt the controller to direct the flow of water towards oily patches and enemies, and open a route down to the bottom.

At the very bottom of the waterfall, you’ll see Alucard hanging from a vine. Simply whack him down and you’ll now have both the Castlevania characters in Astro Bot in your team.

Astro Bot is out now for PS5.
