The Follower Bond for Neuras in Metaphor: ReFantazio is a bit annoying, as you need to find locations where a bunch of relics from a past civilization are to rank it up and gain access to the Gunner line Archetypes. All of them tend to be found in optional locations, which can make that difficult! Here’s where you’ll find them, though!
Where do I find all the Neuras relics locations in Metaphor: ReFantazio?
To make things easier, I’ve divided this up by each relic I found for Neuras in Metaphor: ReFantazio in the order where I discovered each one’s location. Note that for many of them, you need to take on sidequests or bounties to gain access to the locations where they are hidden. So don’t neglect those extra excursions!
Relic 1: Take the “Hatching a Plan” sidequest in Martira in Metaphor: ReFantazio to be able to head to Komero village and talk to the person who will give you the first relic for Neuras. As this isn’t a fully fleshed out village, this all happens through text. (Also, don’t forget to grab the Practical Pigeon Parcel for 500 reeve while you’re there for “Hatching a Plan” so you get the Invincible Noodles and 7,500 reeve!)
Here’s a screenshot I took of the town of Komero:
Relic 2: When you’re at Martira trying to deal with the Heismay bounty and kidnapping case, you can take a “Man-Eater in the Mines” bounty from the town’s Recruiter Dispatcher. This will show you the first example of how Gallica will react when it turns out a relic is in a dungeon. Head into the Man-Eater’s Grotto to find it.
Here are screenshots of the map and location showing where I found this one:
Relic 3: You’ll be able to find this one after you get to Port Brilehaven. It is tied to the “Superior Scrimshaw” sidequest. This one involves heading to the secondary floor of the Tomb of Lament and going through two tunnels to get into a locked cell where the relic is hidden.
Here are the screenshots of the map and relic I took, to help you find it.
Relic 4: This one is found when you take the “Trial of Malnova” sidequest to unlock the Eupha Bond. This relic isn’t hidden away, in a locked room, or anywhere that’s difficult to reach. It’s sitting in a chest in the middle of an alcove you’ll pass while working your way to the boss for this quest at Land of Ceremony.
Again, I have some screenshots of you of the map and spot where the relic is found to help out.
Relic 5: After you rescue Eupha in Virga Island, but before you need to continue on your way to Altabury Heights, you’ll notice your allies discussing a bounty that came up during the scripted morning segments before you’re free to do whatever you want. Head to a place with a Recruiter Dispatcher. (I recommend Grand Trad.) Take the new bounty called “The Greater One-Eyed Scoundrel” and go to Scoundrel’s Hold. Immediately after you enter, there will be a tunnel that ties the western path to a small space that features the chest with relic.
Here are two screenshots I took showing where you need to look:
Relic 6: While in Altabury Heights when you have free time, you can take a “The Fiend in the Frozen Forest” bounty at Recruiter Dispatcher. Head into the forest. Odds are, you’ll complete this bounty before getting to the chest with the item. (Especially since it was the only chest I actually saw while exploring!) However, make sure you head as far east as you can to find it lying around.
Here are screenshots showing where I found it:
Relic 7: This one I ended up finding because I got Eupha’s Bond Rank to level 6. When I did, she gave me the “Wayward Shepard” quest that sent me to Mt Vulkano. This opens up after you’ve been at Atlabury Heights for a while, so you might not get it until September or October. This one is very obviously situated in a chest in a room you get to via going through a tunnel.
Relic 8: You automatically get this during a Bond conversation with Neuras a few days after the conversation where you give him all the other relics.
Turn all of these in to Neuras and keep talking to him, and you’ll get access to the Gunner, Sniper, and Dragoon Archetypes. Also, if you’re ever having trouble trying to discover which one you’re missing, you can check Neuras’ journal in the engine room of the runner to see which ones haven’t been collected and get hints as to where they are.
Metaphor: ReFantazio is available for the PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC. There is also a demo available.
