In Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, your party may split up in towns. This gives you a chance to find them, as Cloud, to talk and build up relationship values. The first opportunity for this is in FFVII Rebirth Chapter 1 in Kalm, so here’s where Aerith, Barret, Tifa, and Red XIII are so Cloud can talk to them.
Where is Red XIII in Kalm in FFVII Rebirth?
Honestly, Red XIII was one of the two easiest characters to find inKalm in FFVII Rebirth! If you’re in the Village Center area and head to the southeast, near the entrance to town, you’ll find him “standing guard.” When you talk to him about what he’s doing, he’ll say he’s keeping an eye out.
There are three responses here.
- “Good boy.”
- “I knew I could count on you.”
- “Thanks.”
I chose “I knew I could count on you,” but he didn’t seem to like it much. When I reloaded, it seemed he appreciated a simple “thanks” more.
Where is Aerith in Kalm in FFVII Rebirth?
This is another easy person to find! One of the main FFVII Rebirth campaign quests in Kalm involves heading to Maghnata Books, and a segment with Aerith will automatically trigger when you get there. She wants to ask you to go to the town’s clock tower with her.
The three possible responses are:
- “…If I have to.”
- “I’m busy.”
- “Sure. Let’s.”
If you want Aerith to be happy and like you, go with “Sure. Let’s.”
Where is Tifa in Kalm in FFVII Rebirth?
Tifa is a little tougher to find, but if you see the main campaign quest marker for Bucolic Kalm in the center of town near the Mako tank, you’ll quickly find her. She’s hanging out, looking at it.
Again, you can choose how you respond to her here when you interact with her. Here are the three responses you can give to Tifa in Kalm in FFVII Rebirth.
- “Any other mako tank.”
- “The place I made that promise to you.”
- “The water tower in Nibelheim.”
The “right” answer here, if you’re trying to get closer to Tifa, is “The place I made that promise to you.”
Where is Barret in Kalm in FFVII Rebirth?
This one is tricky! There’s a bar sort of hidden under an arch in town. You can see on the map how I indicated where you need to turn into to go, to then walk through to the area. Barret is there hanging out.
Here are the three options you can choose when he talks about getting a drink at Seventh Heaven once it is back again.
- “No time soon then.”
- “First one’s on me.”
- “First one’ll taste good.”
The best response, if you want to get closest to him, is “First one’s on me.”
Final Fantasy VII Rebirth is available on the PS5, with the exclusivity arrangement ending on May 29, 2024.
