The Weekly Reset is not just when completed Weekly Quests become available again, it’s also when Raid Lockouts expire and often when new content is pushed live. It’s an important time to keep an eye on for any serious WoW player, so here’s when the World of Warcraft Weekly Reset occurs on both North American and European game servers.

What Happens on the WoW Weekly Reset?

As mentioned before, the WoW Weekly Reset is when Weekly activities and quests reset. This includes repeatable Weekly Quests that offer caches such as the ‘Call of the Worldsoul’ one available in Dornogal, as well as several others associated with activities like Awakening the Machine and the Theatre Troupe. Additionally, this is when rewards from the Great Vault become available, based on the rank of number of certain activities completed the previous week.

Then there are Raid Lockouts. These are what stop you getting loot from a raid mutliple times a week on the same character, but the Reset is when they expire. Even if you’re not a hardcore raider, it’s good to be aware of this in case you want to run older raids for Transmog gear. And finally, the Reset is often when new content or balance updates go live, so if you’re anticipating a big buff to your favorite spec, or just want to dive into the new content, the Reset will be when that becomes available.

What Time does the WoW Weekly Reset Happen? (NA and EU)

The precise time and date of the Weekly Reset will depend on which server region you play WoW on. Those playing on North American realms will find their server reset occurs on Tuesdays at 7 am PDT, while European servers reset on Wednesdays at 3 am CET. Blizzard Support often puts out a news post with the times for the weekly reset. Maintenance usually lasts at least an hour, during which the game is unavailable, but it can sometimes go on for longer if there are issues.
