Blizzard Entertainment isn’t shy about adding the equivalent to real world festivities into their games. You see it in Overwatch, World of Warcraft, and now in Diablo 4. For a limited time, players can participate in a Halloween themed event in Diablo 4 which can add a bit of spice to your dungeon runs and more. So you might be wondering when this event will end, given it started on October 29, 2024. Well, you can find that answer below!
When Does the Diablo 4 Halloween Meat or Trick Event Begin?
While October might be close to ending, it doesn’t mean Halloween is over in the world of Sanctuary. The Halloween event will be running until November 5, 2024 to give players a bit of leeway when it comes to participation. Blizzard Entertainment seems to understand that their core player base might not have the time to run through the event in one go.
That said, the Meat or Trick event doesn’t really offer much outside of the free cosmetic items that will roll out in waves. It’s more or less a great way to obtain loot and level up characters, but that’s where it begins and ends. The event itself only impacts shrines (with the chance for an “unusual” effect to apply to your character), which can be few and far between in the open world, and are left to chance in Diablo 4‘s instanced zones like dungeons. However, you will get to encounter a new version of The Butcher, which can make the grind a little more exciting.
Overall, it’s a nice addition, but isn’t in the same range as the Halloween event that graces World of Warcraft year after year. But maybe next year Blizzard Entertainment will introduce something a little more substantial for Diablo 4.
Diablo IV and the Vessel of Hatred expansion is available right now for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. Meat or Trick Halloween event will end on November 5, 2024.
